  • THANKSPRAISE

"Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power
and the glory and the majesty and the splendor,
for everything in heaven and earth is yours.
    Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom;
you are exalted as head over all.

    Wealth and honor come from you;
you are the ruler of all things.
In your hands are strength and power
to exalt and give strength to all.

Now, our God, we give you thanks,
    and praise your glorious name."

    1Chronicles 29:11-13

  • The Fireplace

    51ABYzjz6hL__SL500_AA240_

Yesterday I got this DVD in the mail that I had ordered. I was so glad that it arrived so soon as Karen's whole family were coming over today for a visit. Her MIL and FIL are here visiting and came too. They are very nice people!  So I made brownie's and we had chips and dip, Mint hot chocolate. and cookies. It was so nice to set in our living room with a fire going on the TV (not just a blank screen) and Christmas music sofly playing in the background while we visited. It seemed so warm and cozy as a storm is rolling in tonight. ( Had my simmering pot going too.) I can't wait to put up the Christmas tree this yr and I will soon. It is going to be where that plant is in the corner.

We all loved the fireplace dvd as it is so real. And it is a vidio of a real fireplace with crackling sounds and all.  So if you don't have real fireplace I would highly recommend this one! You can set it on High, med or low burns and loop it. Just looking at it will makes you feel warm!!

Just beautiful!! This is why I wanted to move here to Idaho before winter. We are so blessed to be all moved in and settled and are now enjoying what ever the weather has for us. We are really enjoying all the sun and that solar heat from all our windows. It was 30 degrees last night and right now it is about 45.

This is my computer area this morn, a sunny spot! I just turn my monitor away from the sun and it is fine.

Ok here is my favorite room in the house, because I have never had one before that wasn't a pass through, The Laundry Room!!! It is just off the kitchen and I can close the door when in use.

It has one of those ironing boards that come down on the wall that I really like also. Yep. the old washer and dryer have to be at least 20 yrs old but are still going. See that round thing hanging down from the cabinet with spokes? That is and electric jar opener. I have never seen one before but it works pretty good! I found some paper work on it and that is how I found out what it was.

It is just a relaxing Sat so I am off to have a cup of tea.

God bless you all today! Sharon

  • A Spiffy Hair Salon

    courtyard1

This is  the Viziato Salon where I got my hair cut for only $7:00 with the gift certificate Karen gave me. Well, I didn't have to take pictures of this Salon. They have several on line and here is the link. It is just beautiful! A regular hair cut and style is $27.00, and I don't think that is to bad.

They give you  a bottle of water and coffee or tea when you go in. They also don't just wash your hair they give you a scalp massage. They also gave me a hand wax treatment for free. It was great!

I don't get my hair cut very often and the last one I got was at a place like Supercuts and I paid $16:00 for the worst hair cut I ever had and no styling. I walked out with my hair wet. You never know who you are going to get to cut your hair in those places either. So it was not worth it. I would have gladly paid 10 more for a really good cut and style. So I will be returning to this one. I am not a spa person so I won't be doing that. It was a fun experience anyway I just thought I would share with you.

I finally got my living room curtains all hemmed  and up. Next is some art projects.

we have snow on our Mt. this morning it is so pretty. Suppose to get more tonight. but it was mostly sunny today.

    Have a blessed weekend!! Sharon

  • New book and a painting.

    IMG_0556

This is a wonderful new book I just got. It is like a food encyclopedia and more. You can see it on Amazon. com . It has recipes and so much info about health and foods. It is a large book.

I have been so busy sence we got here. I still have one more window to put curtains up on. I already need to straighten up some closets and drawers this week too.

Karen found  a good place to get our hair cut, so I did that today. Super nice salon! I will take pictures of it next time you will just have to see this place .

I went over to Karen's house yesterday and she is letting me borrow this painting that I painted and gave to them a while back. I painted it about 5 yrs ago.  The house on the left was our house at the time. Not in that setting of course but in  the country.

    IMG_0561

This is how it looks in our living room. It is better then a blank wall and looks more homey.

  • A new Church

    praisethelord-s

We have been blessed again as we have found a church that we really like.  We have been listening to the pastor on the net for several months. He is a very knowledgable and a good bible teacher. His teaching style is expository. That means book by book verse by verse. You really learn that way and scripture is not taken out of context. Today I went to the women's bible study and it was really good. They are very organized and we are studying the book of James. The pastor has been going through James and this study with the ladies is just to reinforce the Sunday messages.

The people there have been wonderful and have made us feel very welcome. Lots of friendly folks.

After the study I went to Jakes Gluten Free store. Yes, a whole store for us that are Gluten Intolerant! So I bought some bread and things. Good bread I might add, that does not taste like cardboard. Then I went over to Karen's house for a visit. So nice to be able to do that again.

My exercise class is going well too. So I am back into a more social life again and it is wonderful. In Wa I was not. But it was where God had me to be for that time. Now is a new season for me.

Well time to go, I will post a few more pictures tomorrow.

May your day be blessed with Him as your guide moment by moment. Sharon

Authentic Christianity

Genuine Christianity is walking in line with the Word of God by the power of the Spirit of God for the purpose of the glory of God. When we're walking as God intends for us to walk: we'll find ourselves letting our minds dwell on Christ and His ways, on God and His Word; we'll find ourselves trusting and obeying as we're faced with choices. We'll find ourselves relying upon the indwelling Holy Spirit for life, to live the beautiful life of Jesus through us; we'll know He's in control by His fruit through these bodies of ours. We'll find ourselves having no other reason for doing or thinking anything but to bring glory to God alone; we'll know we're living our lives out to God alone by who's in our grandstands!~HCC~~~
